Smart Factory Expo review

By Sorion Electronics Ltd
schedule21st Nov 18
Sorion had a very busy show this year at Smart Factory Expo in Liverpool, meeting clients old and new, discussing their requirements whilst sharing our latest products and developments.

The assembly station on the stand enabled us to demonstrate the capabilities of our Sextans process control and Orion traceability applications, educating visitors on how these technologies can be incorporated to improve efficiencies, reduce errors and remain competitive in the world of smart factories.

In case you missed out here is a summary of our products:

Pick to Light is a system where operators are prompted by light illumination to pick the appropriate parts for an assembly process. It aids error-proofing in dynamic pick situations and is commonly used within warehouses and is increasingly being used on production assembly lines for the purpose of “kitting”.

Sorion’s Guided assembly solutions have been designed to maximise quality and prevent mistakes in manual parts picking and assembly tasks. The solution is field proven and is already enabling manufacturers from a variety of industries to actively improve their quality processes whilst also reducing their operating costs.

Data collection / Machine integration – Integration with a broad range of manufacturing hardware, including DC tools, ultrasonic weld, laser etch, hole punch. Collect and store the complete process and test records from both third party and Sorion systems.

End of line testing – Sorion has over 28 years of experience in the development of Electrical Test Systems that are used in the testing of automotive sub-assemblies and non-automotive products.

We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand. We hope that you enjoyed your visit and that you received the answers you were looking for.
