Sorion Electronics showcases how to embrace Industry 4.0

Sorion Electronics, offered a rare and insightful chance for businesses within the automotive and manufacturing sectors to take-a-look behind the scenes at the very latest in cutting edge ‘Industry 4.0’ process control and electrical test technologies.

Sorion Electronics specialise in the design and manufacture of some of the most advanced electrical test and assembly process control solutions.  Their bespoke solutions allow automotive and manufacturing companies to maximise their operational efficiency and be highly responsiveness to changing circumstances. 

The technology open day included a series of seminars which demonstrated how manufacturing businesses can maximise the potential of shop floor guided assembly, end-of-line electrical testing and how they can fully utilise build data to maximise efficiencies, embracing what is called ‘Industry 4.0’.

Commercial Director, Steve Hayes, commented: “The Sorion technology open day was a great event attended by a good selection of automotive manufacturing companies. The event provided us with the opportunity to showcase some of our latest hardware and software developments including our new ‘pick-to-light’ system, which is a light-directed picking technology that provides an accurate and efficient method of picking and sorting products during the assembly process.”

The technology open day had over 25 people attend and was held on 2nd February at Sorion Electronics’ premises in the Magreal Industrial Estate in Birmingham.
