The technology open day included a series of seminars which demonstrated how manufacturing businesses can maximise the potential of shop floor guided assembly, end-of-line electrical testing and how they can fully utilise build data to maximise efficiencies, embracing what is called Industry 4.0.Commercial Director, Steve Hayes, commented: The Sorion technology open day was a great event attended by a good selection of automotive manufacturing companies. The event provided us with the opportunity to showcase some of our latest hardware and software developments including our new pick-to-light system, which is a light-directed picking technology that provides an accurate and efficient method of picking and sorting products during the assembly process.
The technology open day had over 25 people attend and was held on 2nd February at Sorion Electronics premises in the Magreal Industrial Estate in Birmingham.
